Dirty Water Dog

Dargo swims! Surprised? We were.
Ok this breed of dog is not known for it’s affinity for water. No web feet, heavy, muscular and stout, not buoyant and lacking water repellent fur. So here’s a little back story for our friends and family who know Dargo as to why she likes swimming now - in spite of her breed.
One day we went to a lake with some friends in Oregon. Dargo was about 3 years old then. We tried and tried to get her into the lake - no success. Then a black lab came by, made friends with her. Then he started playing in the water. His family threw objects into the water and he chased them with glee. Dargo is not one to be left out of fun, so she started going into the water after him. Of course she couldn’t match his speed, but she soon discovered that water isn’t so bad and it can actually be fun to chase objects in the water.
Since that day, we haven’t been able to keep her out of water! (except at bath-time of course - LOL). When we go to the beach, she runs to jump into the ocean. When we go to the lake, she loves fetching sticks and balls. Go figure.
What does this have to do with Airbrush Tour?
Absolutely nothing! We just thought our friends and family would enjoy seeing Dargo fetch a stick in Lake Elsinore - something completely out of character for her.
Object lesson. Sometimes you need a friend to teach you how to have a good time
