Recently, Kat came to Las Vegas for her show at the Godard Gallery in Planet Hollywood. We arrived just in time to catch her painting on the casino floor outside the gallery. What a treat. Nice work Kat.
A few posts back, we brought you a teaser of a story titled ‘Project Raven‘, a 2008 Harley-Davidson FLHX Street Glide painted by Bob Spina of Las Vegas, and owned by Mike ‘Old Skool’ of Wasilla, Alaska. At the time we previewed ‘Project Raven’ she was not yet officially ‘The Raven Bike’ - she was still a work in process. Now, she’s finished and ready to roll, and soon will find her way north to Alaska. We thought we’d bring you an updated post in all her beauty, unveiled and presented at the Las Vegas Harley-Davidson dealership, where ‘Ol Skool’ first acquired the spankin’ new and yet untouched not-so-raven bike.

Old Skool makes sure you know his clan, and his totem rides proudly up front.
A beautiful bike from any angle.
The details are great with the gold leaf flames surrounded by tons of color.
A view from behind.
Mike aka ‘Old Skool’ with Diane, along with Bob Spina, share in the unveiling of The Raven Bike aka ‘New Skool’.
Old Skool takes the Raven out for a spin before dropping her off to get shipped to Alaska.
With The Raven Bike safely at LVHD, Lady Di (aka ‘Mrs. Old Skool’ aka ‘Diane’) gets some fresh ink from Joey at Ink Inc Tattoo. Pictured above is Old Skool with his fresh tat by Joey a couple of days earlier, forever linking him to the Raven Bike and the totem that it honors.
Paint to the max - definitely! Great job Bob. Thanks for sharing.

It’s our pleasure to share the art of Barry Mack in this post. Barry is an old friend, and an accomplished abstract artist residing just outside of Portland, Oregon. We’ve had the pleasure of seeing his work develop over the years and we’re excited to share it with you. Below are a few of many paintings Barry has created, typically in acrylics on canvas. Additionally, his art hangs regularly at the Lawrence Gallery in the heart of the Pearl District, Portland, Oregon.
Here are a few comments from Barry regarding his art:
“Technically, my work involves the fundamental visual elements of light, dark, color, and form to express some of the challenges and conditions of our inner life. Light and dark being used metaphorically to express feelings or ideas. The images are often motivated by, and evolve from the sheer joy of creating. As an artist I feel a need to create a sense of wonder at the power, beauty, mystery and complexities of our psychological life.”
Along with abstract art, I’ve had a life long interest in philosophy, art history and most forms of music. These interests have fused with a love for the beauty of our natural world and remain constant sources of inspiration.
At the center of these interests is a deep appreciation for the value of light. Realizing how important light is to every aspect of our lives, it has become the theme and focus of my work. In many ways my work is a tribute to light and energy. The work is often a celebration of how light and energy creates our physical and psychological world.”
There you have it. we hope you enjoy the following…

Cryptic Subconscious
Deep Sleep
Deep Window — 72″ x 48″
Uprising — 72″ x 48″
While the majority of Barry’s art is applied acrylics, he also uses and airbrush for subtle applications of pigment, and for detail work. He’s a spontaneous and prolific painter, Barry keeps his Iwata airbrushes and spray guns close. Check his art and you’ll see the airbrush used like seasoning - just enough to create an effect - and no more.
Jan 11th, 2008 - The AVN Show celebrated its 10th anniversary at the Sands Expo Convention Center in Las Vegas with close to 30,000 attendees and 400 exhibiting companies.
What does this have to do with airbrush? Oh my - who cares? It sounded fun so we went. We met some people and got a different taste for Las Vegas.
Comedian Carrot Top and A.D. Cook. As a side note… Happy Birthday Carrot Top (Birthday Jan 27th). Catch Carrot Top and his special brand of comedy at The Luxor Las Vegas.
Playboy Radio Girls. Seems we don’t listen to radio quite enough, or at least it didn’t sound this good when I was a kid.
We’re bullish on these beautiful ladies.
All smiles. (photo courtesy Rome Seagull)
The Green Novelties babe with A.D. These guys make sexy adult golfing girl putters will improve any golfer’s game.
Wherever you turn… it’s beautiful women - hey, we’re just reporting here - lol.
We found this beautifully executed tribute to fallen Iraq war heroes painted on a custom tuner car at the recent CES show in Las Vegas. At a glance, we thought it was a decal, but on further inspection it became clear that this was painted.
Today - YOU may be the Millionth visitor to AirbrushTour.com. That’s right - it is bound to happen today, but because we don’t sit in front of our stats page and count each visitor as they hit - the best we can do is narrow it down to a day and that day is TODAY.
Congratulations to you and to AirbrushTour.com - We’ve now passed a major milestone and headed for glory. Thanks for joining us on the “Tour”.
We haven’t focused on a MySpace artist in a while - what with all the holiday festivities, conventions, art shows and such. So, now you’re in for a treat when you see the works of our most recent MySpace Featured Artist - Edward Peterson - ESP Studios from Verdi, Nevada. He’s been an Iwata guy for the whole 12 years he’s been using airbrushes in his art.
Fun abstracts, imaginative creature cartoons and colorful fish - oh my! Ed’s son Ian inspired him to illustrate a children’s book. The result? Groovin’ Melvin (see Melvin below). His passion is to do murals, grafitti and automotive airbrush.
Groovin’ Melvin - this guy is the product of Ed’s imagination, inspired by the desire to entertain his son. Go to Ed’s website to get more pics of Ed’s collection of art as well as Groovin’ Melvin and the other characters in the story.
Ed’s work is imaginative and fun. It’s a refreshing look at a different flavor of airbrush art.
This week’s Pic of the Week is actually a video. We thought you might enjoy this fly-over view of Las Vegas which gives you a glimpse of the tremendous building growth happening there. If you thought there were things to see and do and places to visit in this amazing city - you ain’t seen nothin’ yet - as they say. This a really happening town - come check it out for yourself.
Jerry Lee Lewis never had it so good. He would have probably enjoyed tickling the keys of these cool, kustom painted Baldwin Pianos which we discovered at the CES show last week. Check them out…
As American as rock ‘n roll itself, stars and stripes adorn this Baldwin as her airbrush flag wraps the piano in a patriotic theme.
If you think these Pianos are grand, check out other art inspired instruments at Baldwin’s custom gallery. Stay tuned to AirbrushTour for more great posts from CES Las Vegas.
1/12/08 - The AVN After-Party with Ron Jeremy at The TRIQ UltraLounge - If you were there, you had a kick of a time. The hosts at TRIQ Night Club / After Hours at Planet Hollywood know how to throw a party, courtesy of Mr. Jeremy and Mary Carey. We were there and so was a collection of A.D. Cook’s fine art figurative paintings, including Muse, Eclipse (shown in pic above) and Ardor along with a few abstracts and a plethora of great friends to help us celebrate in style. Music was still kicking at 4am - this is Vegas baby!
Kat was in town for her art show down the hall and stopped in for a little rock and roll. We got some pics and a video of her creating a Bob Marley piece during her show. Stay tuned for the update on that.
Lauren, Phillip and Bob Spina - hey that guy really gets around.
Dancing on the bar - seems to be an authentic ‘Vegas’ thing.
Keoni and Kathy.
A.D. makes the rounds to meet the beautiful art fans.
