Kudos to Dru Blair. The first part of his two part step-by-step article appears in the just released March/April 2008 edition of Airbrush Action magazine. In his article, Dru demonstrates how to paint this beautiful figurative piece of Jennifer Janesko who is also an accomplished pin-up artist herself. Get your copy of Airbrush Action to get the goods on that.
February 25th, 2008 - The South Point Hotel Casino & Spa in Las Vegas is once again the place to be for the most recent airbrush getaway, hosted by Airbrush Action magazine, Iwata-Medea airbrush products and House of Kolor. As we’ve mentioned on AirbrushTour before, these events provide a great opportunity to learn from top professionals and connect with artists of similar interests and passion. This year’s event is no exception. In fact, this event just gets better and better. This is the second time for this event at South Point, making this event more organized than ever.
Lorenzo Sperlonga and Steve Driscoll take a minute from teaching their popular pin-up workshop for a quick pic. This year’s subject, a beautiful shot provided by Lorenzo, is more racy than ever.

Anthony’s claim to fame is that he’s unafraid to paint surfaces that most wouldn’t even think of working on. His motto is “If it stands still long enough, paint it”. Check it out…
A true “bomber jacket”. Nose art on the back of a leather jacket.
What - golf clubs? That’s really thinking outside the box, don’t you think?

Friday 2/22/08 - We stopped in to check out the PPG Platinum Distributor Show, an industry event at the beautiful Green Valley Ranch in Henderson, NV, just outside of Las Vegas. This event showcases the wide range of products from PPG and their related tools and vendors. Spray guns and airbrushes were well represented by all the major manufacturers. Anest Iwata brought out the big guns - both in terms of equipment and spray legends, specifically Charley Hutton, formerly of Boyd Coddington fame, and most recently as the man behind the paint for Chip Foose, along with a few episodes of Rides.
Here, Charley unveils a new set of spray guns from Anest Iwata that bear his name - two LPH400 LVX spray guns - one for base colors and another for kandies and clears. This is a nice set-up that will add to any custom shop’s capabilities. We’ll bring you more on this set of great gun soon, along with a follow up to Charley Hutton’s new Color Shop, based out of Boise, Idaho.
No shortage of interest, Charley stays busy sharing the benefits of the new spray guns.
Also on display was the Anest Iwata agitator spray gun. This gun is great in that it mixes your pigment while you spray - perfect for metal flakes and other pigments that tend to settle fast.
A beautiful Arlen Ness motorcycle on display with a plethora of PPG color.

Temecula, California is the place for car enthusiasts, where twice a year they gather to shine and show their cars and chew the fat about everything kustom and kewl.
This year’s event will take place March 6th through 8th. Tommy Tutone will perform at the Stampede on the 6th and the car show takes place on the 8th. If you’ve never been to Temecula for this show, do yourself this memorable delight.
