Poker Tikis, Woody’s and Jelly Fish…
Sunday, February 10th, 2008We haven’t posted on our Cosmic artist and close friend, Dennis Mathewson, in a while, so we thought we’d bring you some new art from his ultra creative and passionately prolific studio out Hawaii way. Dennis’ fine art / gallery work varies from tikis to jelly fish. These artworks, painted on metal, are beautiful and highly detailed. Given that, we thought you might enjoy these two new paintings by Dennis Mathewson from his Poker Tiki series, along with something for the hot rod fans, and finally, a taste of something below sea level.

And this newest painting… Dennis shares the original sketch with us for the “Woody’s Hot Rod Beach” painting below.

It’s all in the details. Dennis is a big fan of the Iwata Micron and puts in tons of hours into creating details in his art.

A closer look at Woody’s hot rod.

The complete painting… “Woody’s Hot Rod Beach”.

Another Mathewson specialty… a beautiful Jelly Fish/Manoray painting.

It’s always a pleasure to share Dennis’ art. Click here to visit Cosmic Airbrush online for more.
