June 6th-8th, 2008 - “Vegas Cruise 2008“. Check out pre-1972 classic cars at the Fremont Street Experience.

Cars shows at the Fremont Street Experience are cool. It’s an incredible entertainment and gaming complex in the heart of most exciting city on earth, Las Vegas. That makes it an exciting venue for car shows. With its showgirls, flashing lights, neon and ever changing scenery, custom rods and cars seem the perfect fit. Imagine standing underneath the biggest big screen on the planet watching epic scenes and beautiful images fly overhead while your heart pounds with the pulsating music of a 550,000 watt sound system. All that and hot rods too! Deal me in.

Rat Rods and Other Oldies from Gasoline Alley

Our latest post is about the pics. We’re sharing rat rods and works in progress that we found at the Gasoline Alley’s 9th Annual Birthday Bash on May 25th. While most in this post are sans airbrush, they are all kewl.

T Buckets are always in style. No rod run is complete without a couple at least.

This beast looks tuff from any angle.

This monster rig sits ready to roll. Check our previous post on the event for some pics of the skeleton dude at the wheel.

One of my personal favorites. This is a great fair weather rod/truck.

Always popular at Vegas car shows, this rad rod was on display with its matching coffin trailer.

Rough around the edges, but very cool in its own way. That’s a life-size skull shifter sticking out the top.
