The Rolling Art at Sturgis ‘08

Saturday, August 16th, 2008

Sturgis, South Dakota — The 68th Black Hills Rally was another success this year with almost perfect weather for riding, concerts, races, chics and of corse - cool paint! And while we missed the even this year, our buddy Noot was there and caught some great shots to share with you all.

Here’s a few paint shots for you from the bike shows at Thunder Road and the Top 50 Rally Park.

Apparently, Noot, like us, has an attraction for the airbrush painted ladies.

Howdy ma’am.

Skulls and gold leaf are still the rage.

Nice pinstripes never go out of style…

…and old skewl pinstripes will always be kewl.

Some cool engines (for you gear heads) that caught Noot’s eye too . . .

Church of Choppers‘ Shovel Head.

Paul Cox‘ Pan Head - now complete.

Check out this cool radical Norton.

West Coast Choppers S&S 50th Bike - nice.

Jeff Decker’s Crocker.

Noot tells us that it was more of a “riders rally” this year, with less trailer queens and more baggers - guess with the gas prices more people rode out than trailering their bikes. He says it was a little quieter - kinda nice. Many like Noot rode more in the hills than partied, which is what motorcycles, great hills and perfect weather are all about.

We appreciate Noot parking the bike long enough to take some pics for us.
