This was one of the best hot rod shows we’ve seen here in Vegas. The weather was perfect and it was well attended by a bevy of beautiful hot rods…
This very unique 1937 Terraplane Pickup is always great to see up close. We first brought this to you in our post on the Henderson Super Run Car Show last September.
1957 Chevy Nomads are very cool, and this is one of the nicest we’ve seen in a while. Definitely one of our personal favorites.
The golden rule for rod shows - that and something about gold.
Awesome ‘54 Chevy. Nothing says Americana like a ’50’s era Chevrolet. Watch for more of this lowrider in a future post.
Nice paint work on this ‘41 Plymouth.
Very cosmic.
Elvis made an appearance. Watch those fries and onion rings… they’ll go straight to the belly
Las Vegas pinstripe artist Jake Hudson was there showing his portfolio. Here’s a quick shot of his trailer, with tools ready to stripe.
What’s a family event like this without ice cream? Fat Daddy’s Ice Cream brought out their very cool ice cream truck.
… and lots of skeletons - is it Halloween already?
Performance Machine presents the 17th Annual Los Angeles Calendar Motorcycle Show and Calendar Girl Music Festival Weekend July 12-13th 2008 at The Queen Mary, Long Beach / Los Angeles.
On Saturday March 29, The Sedona Club played host to a very special event. Contestants from the Miss U.S.A. Pageant congregated for fun, fabulous food and some mingling with local A-Listers. Sponsors for the event included Syrup Swimwear, official swim wear of Miss USA 2008.
Medea Gallery is honored to present a rare glimpse at one of the few collections to be shown in Los Angeles of contemporary Australian Aboriginal Art. The exhibit will be shown from March 6th – April 30th, 2008.
The exhibition features vibrant works from the Kimberly and Central Desert regions, personally selected by Sherry Thompson. These works exemplify centuries-old legacies combined with modern personal interpretations. Characterized by intricate patterns of finely drafted layers of dots and bold brushstrokes, the art makes use of a wide range of earth tones ground from natural ochre and brightly colored acrylic pigments.
If you haven’t experienced aboriginal art before, this is a great opportunity to see one of the last frontiers of contemporary art. Aboriginal art continues to receive global recognition for interweaving aesthetic inventiveness and cultural traditions. These works explore the complex relationships between humans, nature, the land and those/that power which brought life into existence.
Kudos to Dru Blair. The first part of his two part step-by-step article appears in the just released March/April 2008 edition of Airbrush Action magazine. In his article, Dru demonstrates how to paint this beautiful figurative piece of Jennifer Janesko who is also an accomplished pin-up artist herself. Get your copy of Airbrush Action to get the goods on that.
Come to Planet Hollywood Miracle Mile to party with Ron Jeremy, Mary Carey and A.D. Cook. Art from A.D.’s figurative paintings collection will be on display.
Join us at Triq from 11:00pm to whenever this Saturday the 12th!
Vegas Socialites were hard at work this year putting together the most kick-ass party on the planet - and they succeeded big time. This year’s event featured amazingly beautiful babes (coquettes), fabulous food by world-class chef Kerry Simon and thumping entertainment at the “not officially open yet” CatHouse Loungerie - all for a good cause.
The Autism Research Institute was the beneficiary of the raffle which included an almost endless list of prizes from many sponsors including, Grey Goose Vodka, Toy Share, Social House, Hon Photo, A.D. Cook and Dave Navarro. Chris Angel was celebrating his birthday and he made an appearance.
The lucky winner of the hand-signed, one-of-of-a-kind guitar donated by Dave Navarro.
The winner of the A.D. Cook art is selected by A.D. with the help of Hosts Tiffany Masters and Josh Nasar.
The rumor is that these beautiful coquettes will be doing a lot of dancing in gorgeous lingerie at the CatHouse after it officially opens - and you can buy them for yourself or a loved one! (The lingerie - not the models - of course)
