Quick Throttle EXPO 2006 [part 1]
Friday and Saturday, April 14th and 15th played host to the Quick Throttle Expo at the Del Mar Fair Grounds in sunny southern California. Chris Dalgaard, National Publisher and California Editor, along with his father and publisher of the Northwest edition, Mike Dalgaard, were on hand to share in the festivities. Plenty of hot bikes and trick paint were on display, along with biker celebrities and beautiful ladies galore. And to top it off - on display was one of the most impressive collections of airbrush-laden sheet metal we’ve seen in a while. So, having said that… we present to you the following.

Rock & Roll Custom Paint showed up in style with their trick semi truck and trailer. These guys put on an impressive display with no shortage of great eye candy. Motorcycles featuring hot paint filled their display, along with other impressively airbrushed items like hot guitar bodies and motorcycle helmets. Many of their custom paint jobs feature flames, incredible murals, Giger inspired paint jobs, skulls, eagles and graphics. If you want to Rock & Roll, visit their site.
In the interim, check out the shots of their work below.

Rock & Roll Customs is serious about airbrush. This is the back of their big rig.

Evil, mean, wicked and nasty… and that’s just one of many works of art on this big rig trailer.

The front end of this beast is pretty hot too.

They show lots of great airbrush paint jobs on display. Clearly, airbrush art is alive and well here.

Wild motorcycle tanks - one from the side…

…and from the top.

Actually, these guys display dozens of excellent examples. An airbrush enthusiast could spend hours here just taking it all in.

While it was technically a motorcycle expo, these guys showed off lots of cool guitars too.

Money to burn. I really liked this one. The dollar sign is the brake light.

…and one more from these guys. I could spend all day showing all the great stuff Rock & Roll puts out to see. This is just scratching the surface. After all, this was just our first stop at this EXPO. There are a lot more incredible airbrush works to see, along with a ton of other great stuff to show. We’re going to break this post up a bit so check back again soon - very soon.
Cheers for now.
